Quest Description: In the Cantesa Province on Soro Island, where betrayal and watching your own back are part of daily life, a number of goverment leaders have driven the populace of a small city to rebellion with taxing. In an effort to quietly end the rebellion in its infancy, the goverment has contracted Team Sniper to go to the city and disarm it of all weapons and Zoids. The trip to the mountain city is a perilous one though. Along the trip are numerous pirates and thieves, not to mention the rebel's own militia.
A Team that Stands for Something
Ahh, nothing like a nice deserted beach to yourself. It's a shame that we're leaving so soon. And this Cantesa Province isn't as bad as they say, at least not the beach. This will be the first mission for our new recruit, Brad. I hope he's ready to see how down and dirty being a Zoid pilot can get. Now, where is that margarita I ordered?
Sextus stood with his bare feet submerged in the insistent blue waters. The team's small town starting point on the west coast of Soro Island lacked the sophisticated feel of the cities, but also the crime that was rampant in the province. The seclusion was probably the reason the big wigs chose to live apart from most of the people they governed. From what Sextus could tell, the common people were not a great concern to those running the country. They were left to steal, murder, and otherwise harm each other to get things done themselves. Sextus didn't see the people as a bunch of hooligans though. Many were probably forced into their behavior just so that they weren't bulldozed over by the rest of the population.
Sextus had flown ahead to meet their employer, Governor Dolek, and now found himself stuck talking baseball with the weasly man while he waited for his teamates to arrive. Hopefully they would be aboard the cargo ship making it's way to the small beach port. Ngwenya, Sextus' trusty ole Bearfighter, was aboard and probably a little anxious to stretch his legs. He'd have to wait though as Sextus intended to hold down his lawn chair on the beach as long as possible. From underneath the brim of a straw hat, Sextus spotted a man scurrying across the sand towards him.
After falling in the sand a few feet from Sextus, the man hauled himself to his feet and said to Sextus, "Mr. Orange, I believe the rest of your team has arrived. Shall I have them meet you here on the beach?"
"Yes, please do. And tell them not to bother putting on their trunks, we'll be leaving soon. I still want that margarita though," Sextus replied.
In a blink, the man was clumsily racing back towards the beachside Royal Villa to fetch the rest of Team Sniper.

This was the day Brad had been waiting for, his first mission. There had been a bit of an anxiety build up from the team looking down on him but his confidence level and hopes were high for him and Jax, his Lightning Saix. The ride over to Cantesa Providence allowed Brad to talk to his team mates and get to know them a little better. Brad found that his team mates seemed to be great guys and he hoped they were even better Zoid fighters in case he needed support, they will have his back.
Brad sat down and took a breather with the rest of the team after unloading gear on the dock. While he was sitting he took a glance around at the beautiful ocean that they have been traveling on and the view took him back to a vacation he had once to the beach with his father and brothers. One of the guys climb to his feet and the rest follow. We all grabed our bags and headed up to the Royal Villa.
As the team walked into the Royal Villa, a man came crashing through the door and, before anybody could get out a word, the man said, “Team Sniper, you can leave your bags here and come with me. My name is Governor Dolek.”
The Governor lead us out through a double door onto a beautiful walkway. About 100 feet out Sextus was on the beach and had a drink in his hand. As Brad's shoes filled with sand the team continued out into the sand to meet Sextus Orange.

On the boat over to Cantesa providence Kyle got some well-needed rest from the busy few days he has had. He talked with a few of the other members of sniper on the boat and meet the new kid Brad. Kyle hoped that Brad was as good as he led on to being so he did not have to look over another new member. With the new part Kyle had recently received he has been working on Cabellero Azul to work out all the kinks. There was a little shake to the ship as it pulled into dock and was ready to be unloaded. Helping the others unload Kyle saw Sextus a little off on the beach.
So I see why he left early he wanted to get out of unloading Kyle thought to himself chuckling. After all that needed to be unloaded was unloaded Kyle followed a few of the other members to the Royal Villa. When Kyle saw the building it looked spectacular, which made it obvious why it was called the Royal Villa. Happy that he gets to be in such a beautiful place he saw a man come out of the front door and tell them to follow. Following the man he noticed that Sextus had a margarita, what a lucky guy sextus is to have come first Kyle thought jealous of Sextus’ luck. A few moments later Kyle was in front of Sextus and waited for him to say something about what to do next for he had the information about the mission.

"It'll be good to see you, to think you got ahead of the rest of us!" Alex laughed into the phone and hung up. An interesting gadget, it slided. Alex was used to boring phones that had buttons and a screen, but with the lack of high-end monoblocks he was forced to get a silly sliding thing. It was great: remote laptop rendevous, Zoid connection, worldmap, big screen and the best reception on Zi. Still, when it broke in a year because of the stupid sliding mechanism, Alex would scream and abuse the company for not sticking with simple boring designs.
Staring at his phone, a goldfish could tell that Alex was dying of boredom. The constant drone of the transport coupled with a mostly sleeping team meant that Mr. Sleepless ended up doing absolutely nothing. One would think that the blue skies and the resort destination would lift anyones spirits. Thats a true statement, until one forgot about it as ancient engine drone consumed their mind. He had no network with his computer and the phone wasn't THAT interesting, having already called virtually everyone on his 786 number contact list once or twice already. Free calls, haha, tell that to the quadruple digit bill that came each month.
Nearing breakin point, having started talking to himself, the transport finally shuddered to a stop. Screaming in delight, Alex bolted out the door and ran for the exit. Busy workers blocked his way, but nothing was going to stop the sunlight touching dirty unshowered Alex. The mission could wait a day or so while he spent all morning cleaning off in the pool getting burnt. Thats how it seemed before a very official vehicle pulled up at the docks. Swearing incoherently, Alex stormed back into the cargoship to get the rest of the team organised. Ten minutes later they all emerged ready for business and mostly rested.
"Team Sniper, I presume?" said a handsome young man with the stature and speech of your average 'cultured' sixty-year-old.
"Yes, we are, do we look unlike pilots to you?" Alex replied, grumpy at the youth who didnt realise that he had forgotten forty years of his life. How dare he even bother asking if the bunch were his guests!
"Follow me,"
"How mysterious," grumbled Alex and followed. They split between two vehicles and chucked the baggage into leather lined trunks which were attended to by more mysterious young men and a single woman. Half an hour later the team arrived at the Royal Villa, a sprawling and over-done complex that screamed of too much money. Everyone went through the mixed oak doorway, decorated with images of Shield Ligers and Zaber Fangs of ages past. The room was similarly decorated with a desk in one corner. Was this a house or a business, or both?
Suddenly, a short and cunning looking man dressed extremely richly approached. In the same stupidly annoying voice as the rest of the attendants, he spoke. “Team Sniper, you can leave your bags here and come with me. My name is Mr Dolekson. Im to escort you to my father, the Governor Dolek”
Alex looked at him with fierce eyes and cuddled close to his laptop and designer clothes. Leave his bags here! Hardly.

Raida leaned onto the railing with one elbow and looked out into the ocean. This would be his second time visiting this island; the first had been with his parents on one of their business trips long ago. He remembered nothing positive at all from his last visit to this province. The only thing that stayed in his mind was the shinny floors and glittering ceiling lights. He had nothing to do but sit in his room and get kicked out of the lobby while his parents were out on business.
“Great, never thought I’d come back to this dull place ever again.” He pushed himself up off the railing and walked over towards an empty hammock. Not even the gentle breeze of the sea could calm his mind.
All of the other members of Sniper were sleeping with the exception of Alex and himself, last he had checked. The captain seemed to be busy making calls of some –sort last he had seen, so Raida dared not to bother him. Thinking of the captain’s phone caused Raida to take a look at his. Both of his phones were slightly out-dated, but with an upgrade he would be up to speed with the rest of Zi. He placed both phones back in their respective pockets and began to take a seat when the ship’s captain came over the inter-com; telling all passengers that they would be arriving very shortly. Slightly upset, but glad that the long ride was over, Raida made his way down to gather his belongings and prepare to depart.
Raida looked around the hold and noticed that pretty much everyone on the team had dozed off for almost the entire ride over. Well, this should make things interesting if we don’t have to get to work right away he thought while making certain he had everything he needed as the ship docked. Raida watched as the team captain left the transport and stood on the docks. He wondered exactly what was going through his mind and no sooner than a short-while later did he know. A small number of vehicles pulled up and Alex came storming into the hold, swearing his head off.
He must have wanted to relax for a few days before doing anything. That Sextus, no wonder he came early. He got a chance to relax and we’re getting to work right away; Alex must have hoped that this would not happen. Raida let out a heavy sigh and gathered all of his things and departed with the rest of the team. The entire luggage went with a few characters that Raida did not like the look of. He could see that Alex was bothered by what was going on as well.
A short while later the team arrived at the Royal Villa and Raida was not pleased. It seemed like nothing about any of the buildings had changed along the way. They were all overly-flashy and all of the said only one word, money. Something that Raida lacked quite a bit of and needed dearly. The doors to the Villa screamed the same thing as all of the others and the lobby was no different than what he had anticipated. This was a place for the “high-class” individuals, not someone like himself. Looking around the lobby a little more closely, something rubbed him the wrong way. He could not tell exactly what it was, but this building…something just did not feel right.
The captain was just within ear-shot and Raida heard the words he never wanted to hear any place he went. His eyes darted over to the captain and saw a fierce look in his eyes. He was glad to see that they were on the same page, however convincing this “gentleman” that they needed to carry everything might prove to be a little difficult; or everything would be understood in one or two sentences.
Raida proceeded to walk over to the captain, who was hugging his laptop close to him, not saying a word. “Excuse me sir, you are Governor Dolek if I am not mistaken, yes?” Raida looked down at the man with his most gentle of faces.
“I am,” he replied quickly “We have much to discuss and I was just suggesting to your captain that you leave your belongings here and that I would have them taken care of.”
Raida looked over at the captain, whose look had not changed at all and then back to the Governor. “Governor Dolek, we mean no disrespect to you in any way, but it is the up most importance that we keep our belongings with us at this time. Everything here in these bags are not only vital during our meeting, but during the mission as well. I ask that you please just bear with us because the items within each of these bags are not something to be left out in the open. I am certain that you do have a top-notch security system and all, however we did come here to work sir, not to play.”
The Governor paused, looking back and forth between Raida and Alex, then at the rest of the team. “Yes of course I see, very well then bring everything with you.” The Governor quickly turned and began to speedily walk away as a man covered in sand ran towards them.
This must be an errand boy…and a new one at that too. He’s covered in sand and is all out of breath. Either that or he’s running for his life because he did something wrong. Raida watched as the man came over and stopped right in front of the group. Everyone stared strangely at the man and waited for him to catch his breath.
“I am here to escort you all to Mr. Orange on the beach, if you would all please follow me. He also said that you would have no down-time at all upon arrival and that you would be getting to work right away” The man stood up strait and began to walk away.
“Excuse me, did you say the beach?” Raida inquired as the man began walking in the opposite direction.
“Yes sir, the beach. Please, follow me” Raida looked at his teammates picked up his bags and followed the man to the beach.
So he’s at the beach is he? We get no down-time and yet he is on the beach?! To hell and back with that, I am getting my down-time now. Were he working I would gladly agree, but he’s at the beach! Raida could tell that his face shown nothing but malcontent for what he had just heard. He could have cared less. Upon thinking about it for a spit second however, he realized that it would not matter in the long run. Sextus would have to right the report and everything after the mission was done while the rest of the team had themselves some fun. He felt the muscles in his face relax and continued to follow the man to the beach.
Not sure who all is still active/not so I judged all everyone's posts... Although I must say, if we (as an entire RPG, not just these particular pilots) can't start following through and actually completing our FQs, I'm going to stop judging the unfinished ones for rewards. It seems to breed bad habits *ahem*.
RP rewards:
Sextus - 4 RP credits.
Brad - 3 RP credits.
Kyle - 2 RP credits.
Alex - 5 RP credits.
Raida - 9 RP credits.
